TF1 to Sue Dailymotion & YouTube

French TV Network are reportedly about to sue YouTube and Dailymotion in the coming weeks for allowing copies of its shows to be uploaded online.

According to Le Point, TF1 claims, a total of 38.97 million euros to Dailymotion and demands that it withdraw the videos in question subject to a penalty of EUR 10000 per infringement from the time when justice will be done.

To calculate the damage, TF1 estimated that for 100 videos viewed free, paid services video-on-demand (VOD) lost 20 legitimate sales.
