Ask.com Launch ‘AskEraser’
December 11, 2007

Ask.com today announced the launch of a new service called AskEraser. The first service that gives us the searching public privacy control over our online searches.
When switched on by the user, AskEraser completely deletes all searches and cookie information from the ask.com servers, including any IP addresses, User ID’s as well as the initial search query.
The AskEraser link can be found in the upper right hand corner of the page, constantly indicating to the user that their search history would be erased. AskEraser remains on for searches made across ask’s other search categories such as images, AskCity, their new blog search service, Video as well as maps and directions.
